Survey on Universal Design CPD
The Centre for Excellence in Universal Design at the NDA is working with the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI) on research to inform the development and delivery of CPD in Universal Design for architects and architectural technologists.
The School of Architecture at the University of Limerick and the Center for Inclusive Design and Environmental Access at the University of Buffalo, New York have been commissioned to carry out this research.
As part of this research, RIAI members, educators in the field of architecture and clients / building procurers are invited to complete an on-line survey about CPD in Universal Design. Completing the survey will take around 20 minutes. Completing the survey will entitle RIAI members to 0.5 unstructured CPD points.
The aim of the survey is to collect data related to:
- understanding and knowledge in Universal Design amongst architects and architectural technologists
- the most effective means of developing CPD
- professional preferences related to CPD in Universal Design
Information related to you will be treated in strictest confidence to the extent provided by law. Your identity will in no way be attached to your responses. Every precaution will be taken to protect your privacy and the confidentiality of records and data collected during this study.
Opportunity to take part in a workshop
The survey is part of a two-part study that will be used to create a strong evidence base for the development of CPD in Universal Design for architects and architectural technologists in Ireland. During the next phase of the study, workshops will be conducted with architects, architectural technologists, building users, clients and educators to discuss the findings of the survey and gather additional information that can be used during the development and delivery process.
If you would be interested in possibly being contacted to participate in a workshop, please contact the research team at email@example.com. A member of the research team will contact you with more information.
