RIAI 2015 Universal Design and Public Choice Awards go to the Restoration of St. Mel’s Cathedral, Longford.

The winners of the RIAI Architecture Awards 2015 were announced on 18th June.  Fitzgerald Kavanagh and Partners won the Universal Design award for the second time in the award's short history with the Restoration of St. Mel's Cathedral, Longford.  The Centre for Excellence in Universal Design at the National Disability Authority supports the RIAI Universal Design Award.

Universal Design is about designing for all people, regardless of their age, size, ability or disability so it is especially fitting that St. Mel's Cathedral was also voted the people's favourite in the Public Choice Award, voted on by members of the public.
