This webinar introduced learners to Universal Design as an approach to designing environments that can be accessed, understood and used regardless of a person's age, size, ability or disability. It explored the background, approach and principles of Universal Design. Then, reflecting the content of the subsequent webinars in this series, we looked at how these principles apply to specific engineering-related sectors. Finally, attendees were guided towards some key resources for deeper learning and practical tools that can be used to employ a Universal Design approach in their own work.

Topics have been selected for the proceeding three webinars in the series and will be circulated in the coming weeks. For further information, please reach out to us at info@ceud.ie or visit the event page on engineersireland.ie
