The National Disability Authority (NDA) is preparing a report for the Minister for Children, Disability and Equality on the operation of the Irish Sign Language (ISL) Act 2017.
This is the second report on the ISL Act, and it will focus on progress made since the previous report.
The NDA is now seeking feedback from ISL users and family members on access to public services and entitlements through ISL to inform this report.
Feedback can be provided in any of the following ways:
- Online public surveys
- ISL submissions by video
- Written submissions by email or post
- Online public meetings
The closing date for public consultation is 10 October 2025.
There are two surveys available
- The public survey for the Consultation of the ISL Act
- Survey for parents/guardians of children who are D/deaf or hard of hearing
