Vote for Universal Design
The Centre for Excellence in Universal Design at the NDA is collaborating with the RIAI on the first RIAI Universal Design Award, to be presented in July 2013. The aim of the RIAI Universal Design Award is to promote Universal Design among the architectural profession and increase public awareness of Universal Design.
Two buildings have been shortlisted for the RIAI Universal Design Award and as a result have also been short-listed for the RIAI Public Choice Award. The buildings are:
- Ballybay Community College Co. Monaghan
- University College Dublin (UCD) Student Centre
The RIAI Public Choice Award is awarded based on votes from members of the public.
We are encouraging you to vote for either of these buildings on the RIAI Awards website. The buildings are listed in alphabetical order, so you will find Ballybay Community College near the top of the list and UCD Student Centre at the very bottom. The deadline for voting is Monday 24th June at 6 pm. Vote for Universal Design!
