From the 1st of January 2024, subject to transitional arrangements, the Building Regulations (Part M Amendment) Regulations 2022 require Changing Places Toilets to be provided in certain buildings, having regard to their use and size.

Table 1 of Technical Guidance Document M (TGD M) 2022 sets out fourteen relevant building uses and associated size criteria relating to the provision of a Changing Places Toilet. At least one Changing Places Toilet should be provided in the buildings with the relevant use listed in Table 1 of TGD M 2022, having regard to the use and size of the building.
